He's a Quarter horse gelding, 16H, 24 years old and sound.
He goes english and western. Jumps currently 2ft and used to jump 2'6"-3'. Flying leads, never refuses.
Ok western horse. Just overall the slowest horse ever. Spurs are needed all the time or your legs will get very sore and tired. And I'm serious!
Used to ride around barrels when he was 3. I guess he was ok. I never seriously rode him around them.
Overall health fine.
Good for Farrier, vet, and trailers great. Clips too.
Cribs though. The cribbing collar does slow it a lot.
Is on senior feed to keep his weight up.
Is a lesson horse currently. Will teach most anyone how to jump. If you can get him to go.
Has space issues with other horses around him. If you're too close to another, he will try to bite and kick. Though, never actually happened.
What do you think he's worth? He's old, but still talented.
Thanks.
i brought my minni mare 3 years old in march sight unseen only descoved on delivery she was hevey in foal dont know when due previous owners whont return phone calls yesterday she was not her self trying to bite kick if you got to close and paceing the paddock and standing for long periods in one place shes not baged up but the smorning shes eating normally but still trying to get everyone away from her she also looks verry sloppy from flank back any ideas on when she will drop
I'm already LMAO at the previews!
The one that just kills me is the where the woman is holding the flapping chicken and she's hollering "oy,oy,oy!"
Oy vey is right. This is gonna be hilarious!!
Someone's question got me thinking...what kind of stuff can you/do you pick up at the dollar store (or somewhere else super cheap) for your horses?
Share, maybe you'll give someone else some money saving ideas!
I buy:
- big tub of hair gel (for braiding)
- mini rubber ponytail holders (for braiding)
- wide tooth combs
- buckets and scrub brushes for cleaning
- generic lysol, bleach, listerine, antibacterial dial soap, etc.
- Mane N Tail shampoo and conditioner
- first aid kit stuff for humans
- tupperware-like containers for storing items in my tack trunk (shoebox size and bigger..bigger is great for blankets!)
- garbage cans for storing grain
- miscellaneous hardware items (bungee cords, padlock, etc.)
- gingerbread men cookies (horse treats!)
How about you?
