Ive now owned my 14.2hh Highland pony for 2 years and from day one he's always been incredibly strong. Our first year there were numerous times i was so close to selling him cause he just wouldn't stop bolting but gradually he's grown out of the habit. He's built like a little bull with a neck the size of a clydesdales and the rest of him is just solid muscle. When you have his strength under control he's an amazing wee pony and would jump anything but sometimes he just gets out of hand. My RI recommended a dutch gag or 3-ring snaffle and said it would definitely give me some breaks but it had no effect. We're getting a myler combination bit on trial and i cant decide between a short shank or long shank. If you can recommend anything else that keeps an incredibly strong horse under control let me know!!

Both horses that I am looking at (draft crosses) are solid w/t, but need training for the canter. One has been taught to canter, just hasn't done it in a while, and the other has never been taught to canter at all. I'm 16, is it too much work/ too much for me to handle? If you think it isn't, could you help me figure out some exersises that could help them learn easier? Thanks!

Some things to know:
Finn is my dressage horse, not the one with EPSM. Also, she has a bad back and is very picky about being ridden now. The footage in the indoor arena is a year ago on her way to recovery. What do you think of her, and what do you think of my riding style?

i was wondering what it would come out too,a picture if possible?
if i bred my mare i wanted to do it to a sadlebred but if they are genec\ticaly bad i wont,plus i want a picture of there looks?
have bred horses, and my QH isnt pure anyway.. i never sadid id do..iti said i want to know before i almost make a big mistake cause at my EC they have a champion saddlebred/QH so stop saying mutt
i would like to buy, or build a arena on my property.
I want to know any places where you can buy panels, cheap.
Or any people who could build me a nice arena
