My horse is 12 years old and turning grey and he is brown is it age or what? He has heaves but hes been turning grayer and grayer its weird is there a way to stop this and make him brown again or what?
My horse is fast and its a fact, but I was at a show and she cantered out of a 10inch jump for a trot I didn't tell her to ether, then there was a jump really close by so I couldn't get bact to a trot in time so she galloped out of the nets jump but that was the end of the coarse. this was walk/trot class so I got 3rd instead of 1st or so the judge said... and, would I do the same for 2 pointing ? she canters if I just 2 point troting then gallops if im 2poiniting cantering. She is not rushing the jumps she is just going WAY to fast! Thanks for your answer! by the way, she is a paint/TB 5 yr old
What are wash racks called if they are just for tacking the horse up and not for bathing a horse. Like it look exactly like a wash rack but with out the hose set up? I know some people say cross ties...but that refers to just the cross ties themselves so is there a name for it besides cross ties?

Whats up with the fleece on the cheek pieces? I see jumper riders with fleece on the cheek pieces all the time. I;ve heard this is supposed to act similar to blinders but not sure. So what are they for?

no their are not blinders but i was saying ive heard they are supposed to act like peripheral blinders...

My friend, Neila, and I ride in Clackamas County, Oregon. We were riding by the Clackamas River last Saturday. I was watching a bird of prey and the out-stretched wings had a different pattern than what I am use to seeing. Then I noticed it had a white tail, yelled out to my friend, "OMG it's a bald eagle!" We watched it dip down into the river (below us), grab a trout out of the water and flew off. We have never seen a bald eagle in this area. I have only seen them on the coast of both the beautiful states of Oregon and Washington, and in Yellowstone. It was awesome and spiritual. Do you have a story to share?
