my arabian runs through the transition to canter and he is pretty fast, any tips?
I have a foal that needs to be weaned, she was born in April. But the way we have our fencing there is no way to seperate them completly. They just lean through the strands of wire- non electric and not barbed, in case you were wondering. We will be moving soon to a new location, and I was going to move the mom first. How long do they have to be seperated before I can let them into the same pasture? I've heard a few days, and then I have heard 6 months, both are extreme. I'm a teenager and this is my first foal. So I wanted someone else's opinion. no rude comments please. Thank you and Have a happy new year. I do not want another foal!! one is plenty. The mare was bred when I bought her. They both will have company. A two year old for the foal, and a gelding for the mare. The mare would be happy to see the foal gone!! She loves going for rides, so she does not have to be around the foal It's kinda funny. The foal has been eating hay, grain and drinking water since the first week or so, but she still drinks from momma. Thanks for the help. All of them are really healthy.
Okay I mean like fruit and veggies. Can they eat chocolate? Jellybeans? Because on 'The Saddle Club' Stevie gives her horse jellybeans. PS I do have a horse/pony
I show my Paint gelding at open shows. I have been having trouble taming his wild forelock...it is very fuzzy, soft, and thin. It literally sticks up like an afro :) Since I show showmanship and halter at these shows, I am desperate for other ways than "gelling" which makes it greasy and fake-looking. Anything I can do at home? Also, I am wondering if anybody has any mane pulling tips?
