okay so i just bought a brand new dover circuit elite saddle made of oakbark leather (this is what it says on the tag im not sure if it is the right term or whatever). i've ridden in it once and i was wondering what oils or conditioners etc. to use on it to help break it in or to keep it healthy in the long run. ive heard that neatsfoot oil is good but i also heard that it rots the stitching. so i might use that and avoid the stitching? ive also heard that there is something u can apply to the leather to help make it water resistant or something? if anyone has any tips for this saddle or kind of leather that would be great thanks.
Give opinions please.

I'm looking for a place in Portland OR, closer to Oregon City and Milwaukie to ride horses
It needs to be a place I can get to by bus meaning no more then a 2 mile walk (I've heard there are some by CCC)
it would be nice if said place offers work in exchange for lessons
please let me know if you know of some riding stables =D
How much in £ will it cost to keep a horse monthy? Including food and livery costs.
I know all livery is different... but roughly?
Ok, i out grew my saddle i have now, so I'm currently looking for another saddle. the saddle i have now is brown, but i have a black bridle and a black girth..( Yeah i know mix matched tack lol) so it would make sence to get a black saddle right? I've noticed that black isn't very common at my barn so i was wondering if black tack is accepted at shows?
lol no rude comment plz! i just want to know if i should get a black saddle or get all new tack that is brown...
wow i cant believe i forgot to say the dicipline lol
i ride hunter/jumpers... i haven't shown yet but i might in the future..
my horse is chestnut. so i'm thinking it would look good on her??
