well, when i go to shows, the yard owner takes me and my mum tags along for extra support. she has kept a horse for 18 years, and is pretty experienced in riding, but not really in showing/jumping... etc.
basically, my horse isn't really the best to take to shows, especially if her 'boyfriend' comes, (18.2hh british sports horse) usually its the gelding that is really attached, but at shows it becomes her? basically when he goes into the class, she will turn. she paws the ground (pretty violently), swings her body, will throw her head, calls constantly. and he's not even 20 metres away, and she can see him, FULL VIEW. even when im there trying to calm her down, she is just showing me her back end and will lift up her back leg, as in to kick me :/ she is usually a complete sweetheart! its the same in in-hand classes, she will call, fidget, move around... and we sometimes get knocked down for it :/
in ridden she is perrrrrfect! well she was today!
what do you think, best to separate them? 'wean' them? keep them right together? im not too sure what to do? :/

My eldest son would really love some horse games (like the Pippa Funnell ones) to play on the PC but he dosn't want to play girls games.
Are there any games that have the option of playing as a guy rather than a girl??
Well, I just went on my first ride yesterday and I can already see a future for myself in horses. I was just wondering if someone could pinpoint the prices on a horse that is this kind of type:
I'm not necessarily looking for any type of color or anything. I would like to build a great connection with this horse and simply form a friendship with riding capabilities. I'm not looking to do any specialized courses or horse shows/races, but I would like to train my horse in riding so that I may take him/her out whenever and enjoy the vast world. But anyways, to the point, how much would a horse cost that can be ridden, trained, and worked with, and how much/how long would the training cost/take? Once again, I'm not looking for any show-esque type of stuff, just the ability to be able to take the horse out whenever and still have great capabilities. Also, where should I start? Should I maybe get a part-time job at a stable somewhere and learn the basics in grooming, cleaning, and health care? Just some basic questions. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. :)
Well she is 7 yrs old 15.1hh mare obviously she is a 3rd generation appaloosa mare. We have jumped 3'3. Someone says she is worth 1500 dollars and we bought her for 5000 dollars and they also said she can only jumpe max of 2'6 she is not very knowledgable on horses either so here are pics tell me how much u thinkshe is worth and how high she can jump plz and Thanks for looking.

I was about 6 and the riding instructor hadn't done the girth up tight enough on this little pony I was riding. Halfway through the hack my saddle slipped and I fell straight into a bunch of stinging nettles.
