Yesterday we were off to our first horse show of the season.

It was a "Combined Show" which means Justine and Sampler competed in dressage and stadium jumping. Because the weather was cold and rainy we packed a lot of cold weather and waterproof gear in a addition to what we'd normally pack for the horse and for the rider. Because it was too cold wash Sampler, who is a gray, we'll be used tons of Miracle Groom, which we find best for getting the manure stains off of white coats. Of course, each sport has its own special gear and to be sure we have everything we needed, we also used the Ontario Horse Trials Associations's checklist, which includes 'extras' that are required for these types of shows.
