I live in an area once dubbed the rabies capital of North America. Yearly vaccinations against rabies are recommended for horses and are law for dogs. There is even a fairly aggressive vaccine drop program for wildlife. (Little packets of yummies and oral vaccine are dropped from planes.) Recently, a horse was diagnosed with rabies in Virginia prompting warnings to horse owners to be sure their animals are vaccinated. Rabies vaccine is not expensive and is routinely administer with several other anti-viral vaccines. Do you vaccinate your horse for rabies? Take the poll.
