EAST LANSING, Mich.—The perfect horse fence is not only well built, but carefully planned. Building a horse fence is one of the largest investments of a horse facility, and extensive planning should take place before you break ground. A free webcast offered by My Horse University and eXtension Horse Quest will provide horse owners with the tools they need to plan the perfect horse fence. Christine Skelly, associate professor in the Department of Animal Science at Michigan State University (MSU) and cofounder of My Horse University, will present “Horse Fencing.” She will identify the key elements of horse fencing and offer valuable resources to help you plan a fence based on purpose, safety, costs, aesthetics and other factors in order to best meet your facility management needs.
