Horse Gestation

Warm holiday greetings to all About.com Horses readers! I hope this season brings you peace,  joy and wonderful memories. It is a privilege to share what I know, read your stories and get to know so many of you. A few years ago my husband played Santa at a Pony Club Christmas Party. He did an amazing job, despite needing a lot of padding to fill up the suit. When he asked one member what they wanted for Christmas, he caught himself short and said, "Wait, you have a horse, you already have everything." Truly, that's often how I feel. My association with the horse world has provided me with everything a person could want: companionship (human and equine), healthy activity, challenge, a sense of accomplishment and fun. What more could you want?
