The Ottawa Citizen recently published a series of stories about how horses have touched the lives of those who live with them: The Horse Tales: Readers tell about horses who changed their world. Horses are there for us in the good times and the bad and many of us joke that our horse is cheaper than a therapist. There are many reasons why we learn to ride or own a horse. I don't know that I can put down in words exactly why I have a horse or ride. My love for horses is part of who I am, just as my eyes are brown and my hair is wavy. In a way, they define me.
