Horse Gestation

Here's the deal, I'm probably going to try out that lease horse next weekend, but here's the deal, I'm an ex hunter jumper rider, the gelding I'm trying out is strictly western and what I'm looking for. He's perfect, but I have a feeling I'll sit in the saddle and just want to do two point and post and blah, confuse the poor horse. Any tips on how I can be more 'western' like? I mean how can I keep my butt in the saddle? Haha.
